great access to parks and local dining options
I enjoyed my stay for two nights, as it was only about 500 meters from Highbridge Park for some lovely city strolls and just around 1.5 km away from the Bronx Zoo, which made exploring the area super easy. the nearby restaurant Liberato served some of the best Dominican food I've ever had and was a great find in a friendly neighborhood.

Just a solid selection for a short-term stay in New York with fantastic value for money. The AC unit cooled the room down immediately, which was great during my stay. Request a room facing the yard for less street noise.

I enjoyed the comfortable bed and cool decor. The bathrooms were nicely done with marble. Just keep in mind the room was much smaller than it appeared in photos. Would stay there again!

The Morris Guest House has a lot to offer, like comfy rooms and friendly staff, but be mindful of the shared bathrooms and sound insulation issues. It's great value for budget-conscious travelers, though the neighborhood feels a bit rough around the edges.

missingWrote a review on Sept 03affordable optionclean facilitiesgood internetshared bathroom
Very affordable option for travelers, especially in a pricey city. The shared bathroom was clean and sufficient for my needs, and I noticed decent internet connectivity throughout the place.
The hotel operates more like a hostel, with shared bathrooms and limited personal space, which might not suit everyone’s taste. The exterior lacks clear signage that indicates it's a lodging house, making it tricky to locate. Noise from the street can get quite loud at night, affecting sleep quality. Additionally, be cautious with credit card transactions. Stair access to rooms can be tough if you're lugging heavy bags.

The foody vibes around Morris Guest House are killer! El Nuevo Valle Restaurant served up some bomb Latin flavors just a hop away, and Casa Del Mar had seafood that knocked my socks off. Plus, I kept my cool with no noise and enjoyed the privacy of my room.
But lemme tell you, the whole shared bathroom situation feels like dorm life, and it definitely needs more signs to find the place! I got a taste of the street noise and that discomfort was no joke.

I enjoyed the comfortable bed and the cleanliness of the facilities at Morris Guest House. The room decor felt modern, which made my stay quite welcoming. Access to the subway was easy, making it convenient to explore the city. However, I experienced problems with noise levels. the walls were thin, and I could hear the TV from the neighboring room late into the night. The shared bathrooms could use better amenities, like soap dispensers and towels, as I had to bring my own soap. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the communication could have been clearer regarding room details. I did appreciate the good Wi-Fi available throughout the building, though it would have been nice if the heating worked more effectively during cooler nights.

pleasant stay but could improve comfort
The room was impressively clean throughout my stay, reflecting the hard work of the housekeeping team. The beautiful brownstone architecture added a charming character that enhanced my experience.
The shared bathroom setup was less convenient than expected.
